Activity 3 day 1

My charity I have chosen is the SPCA.
I have chosen the SPCA because I like animals and helping them, thats why I have chosen them.

The SPCA help animals (and rescue them) that have been found or abandoned. The SPCA then take them back to the SPCA to clean them and get better  if they have hurt themselves or any damage done to them.

They raise money so they can get more equipment and things for the animals.

Those are the reasons why I chose SPCA.

Maths Buddy tasks for week 7

Today for Maths Buddy I did Volume of Cubes and Rectangular Prisms. I did not do very well with the test, I got 28%. But it's better than getting 0%. All you had to do was times the 3 numbers on the prism with each others. I will give an example of how I work it out.

Maths Buddy tasks week 6

This week for Maths Buddy I did weekly revision and there were lots of different activities that were there. But most of them were percentages, %%%%%. And some were probability and chances. like if there was a circle split into 5 and there were five different colours. And there was a spinner in the middle and the question was: what is the chance of landing on yellow. And then you would answer.

Today for reciprocal reading we have read monkeys.
Here is the drawing.

Maths buddy

Today for Maths Buddy I did Chance Experiments. This was about the Probability of a tally-chart. And the question says the arrow spun 100 times and then asked what was closer to, then it would give me four numbers. And I would choose the one that was closest. I got 90% out of 100%.

Halloween dress ups

Yesterday for Halloween rotations we did dress ups. Only it wasn't just dress ups, we were disguising ourselves from  the evil spirits. We were dressing up to disguise from the evil spirits so they wouldn't recognise us. Everyone in my group enjoyed this activity. There were so many different costumes to choose from. There were wigs and shirts and helmets and pants/shorts and scarfs. Look down below to see what we have chosen.

Here is some photos from this activity.

The hollow woods game.

This morning my class have had Halloween rotations because it is Halloween. One rotation we had was a game called The Hollow Woods card games. I wasn't there to do it because I had piano lessons. But the rest of my group had done it.

Here is the writing.

One spooky night in the depths

of the forest, there lived a
knight and a girl. They were walking
down a path and they meet each other at an
intersection. They both decided to go down a
spooky track that leads them to a black, rusty
#almost broken gate that looked like the entrance of a
cemetery. They slowly enter. They see a shadow, but
when they got closer… It was the grim REAPER!
They run out of the gates to get to the knight’s horse
and sword all caught up in spiky vines.
 When they were
 riding away they found
a treasure chest so they stop

candy and weirdly enough, garden gnomes.
When they went back to their house they found
a goblin staring at them so they give him a garden
gnome then he runs back to his cave and puts the
garden gnome into his collection of gnomes. Then they
sat down, chowed down their candies, and got headaches.

Persuasive writing

Yesterday the 17/10/19 my class did some persuasive writing about should schools do athletics or not. Here is Mine.

Should every school do athletics? Agree? Disagree?

Do you think every school should join in and do athletics?
Well I think every school should. Here are
Three reasons why I think schools should do athletics.

My first reason is because it is good exercise
for your body. There are all different kinds of activities
to participate in.
There are 5 different sports to do. E.g: shot put, discus,
running,
high jump and long jump. Those are the ones you can
get for the
West Coast athletics and then if you do well you go to
Canterbury.
There are also just fun little games to play like:
two legged
race,
egg and spoon race and rainbow parachute with balls.

My second reason is because athletics is fun.
It’s fun because
all activities are different, some are hard and some
are easy,
some are boring, some are fun. My favourite is
shot put
because it is easy for me and I like trying to get the
ball over the point and if I get it over the line/point
I get
in for West Coast athletics. To get in to West Coast
you have to have at least two or three things to get in
otherwise it doesn't count and you don’t get in for West
Coast.
I have been in West Coast before and I felt so proud.

My third reason why I think schools should athletics is
because after you feel good about doing it and if you got
in you should feel really proud. And if you didn’t get at least
you tried your hardest in all the activities you did. If you
didn’t get in don’t sulk because of that because i
t’s not being good sportsmanship.

Those are my reasons why I think
schools should do athletics. Do you think
schools
should
do athletics or not.

Japanese origami

Today is Thursday the 26th of September, today my have been doing Japanese. Everyone could choose to wear a Kimono and play Kendama or make Origami. I got to wear a Kimono as well but I made Origami, or at least tried to. First I tried to make a rose. But I ended up giving up because one fold I couldn't quite master so I unfolded  it all. Then I started to fold a butterfly but didn't finish because we had to stop and blog about what we have done.

Here is my nearly finished butterfly.
